[Scan] 110124 U-KISS Star Gravure Special Interview in Haru*Hana Vol.003

From cute younger brothers to tough young men…
We want to show everyone that we have grown up

Solo concert also a success!
U-KISS who have grown up

K-POP world’s first multinational group, U-KISS, actively acted in the year 2010 where the advancement into Japan was accomplished in full scale with a regular program broadcasted by BS. In Dec, their first solo concerts in Tokyo and Osaka were held successfully.

Eli: Glad that a lot of fans came to the live concert. Though there were mistakes in the choreography, fans watched it warmly.

Alexander: I was worried. What should we do if no one came! But the venue was filled with hotness.

Soohyun: Though overflowed with gratitude and joy, there was also once a crying scene. I just want to say ‘Thank you’ to everyone of the fans.

Kiseop: As the curtain of the stage went up gradually, I could see a lot of shaking of the pink penlights along with their cheering ‘Kya’. I became excited somehow.

In “The Nation’s Kitchen” Osaka, did you eat a lot of delicious food?

Kiseop: The yakisoba which is famous in Osaka was delicious. Yakisoba…… Eh? Wrong?

Kibum: The one that are famous are takoyaki and okonomiyaki! The authentic taste is different after all. The most delicious.

In 2010, the ‘strong guys’ concept in [Shut Up!!] is a hit in Korea. As for them, 'strong guys', what kind of guy will it be?

Kevin: A person subjected to smokey eye makeup and who inserts power into his expression (laugh)? ‘Fu’ one who laugh coldly? The eye power is also important.

Kibum: Isn't it the bad guy?

Dongho: I think the required condition to be a strong guy is mamochan (a trained body). Even if the line of the body is not exposed, one can know it from the clothes. Therefore, I must exercise and aim for a good body! Although I haven’t started it yet (laugh).

Alexander: Dongho can’t! Because he’s still a child, he won’t get taller if he does hard exercises.

In Dec, the sale of their Japan debut album [First KISS] which comprised of their debut song in Korea to the released songs till now. It obtained no. 2 on the Oricon daily ranking.

Soohyun: This album condensed the processes that we changed from the vivid cute images to tough young men gradually. It’s a great album. Please feel our charms and growth in the same time.

U-KISS casted altogether!
Playback of the program recording

Great lover of K-POP, performer Nishio Hidetaka of X-GUN serves as navigator of the popular K-POP news program of home drama channel [Korea♥Chu]. On 9th Dec 2010, the program carried out exclusive interview to meet the launch of the sale of U-KISS’s Japan first album event held in Shibuya Tower Records. We deliver the high-spirited appearance of the members at the recording venue.

Actually, Kibum and Kiseop, the 2 of them only had appeared in [Korea♥Chu] before. They were very touched and excited for the long reunion. Before the recording, they greeted Nisho Hidetaka “Remember?” while exchanging gestures. They alternatively exchanged hug with great smile.

In the earnest request of Nisho, he challenged [Shut Up!!]’s choreography! Alexander was also very happy that it was above expectation. Playfully said “I have no issue with it already” and planned to return to work.

With ‘Japan’ as the theme, the challenge of drawing contest. The appearance of famous drawing (?) next. Kiseop ‘Okonomiyaki’, Soohyun ‘The placard held by Japan’s fans’, Kevin ‘Tokyo Tower, Odaiba, Rainbow Bridge’, Dongho ‘Gyudon, sushi, yakisoba’, they drew it in their own way.
